Up until Jan. 10, 2002, my site had some joke pictures which were intended to ridicule the criminal cult of scientology, an organization which earns such scorn and ridicule by it's own actions. These pictures originated in the USA and, because the USA has a better copyright law than Canada, these picture's were "legal" under the fair use provision of US copyright law. In Canada, we do not have any explicit provisions for "fair use" types of activity for the purpose of parody, as pointed out in this email I received from one of the criminal cult's legal whores in Canada. Therefore, disputes must generally be litigated.
Even though Mr. Sinnott's assertions in the email do not constitute proof and despite the fact that I might actually win in a court case, I must capitulate to the criminal cult's demands because I can not afford to go to court.
Here is my response to Mr. Sinnott of Bereskin Parr , legal whores for the criminal cult of scientology in Canada.
It is somewhat ironic to see Mr. Sinnott defending this criminal cult. A cursory web search on Mr. Sinnott turned up this page which showed that Mr. Sinnot was a director of this christian group. As many people are aware, cult members believe that Christianity was a mental implant from aliens. Hubbard himself can be heard in recordings saying that Christ did not exist. It seems strange to me that someone who professes to be a devout Christian can defend a cult like this, but, I guess dirty criminal cult money is as green as anyone else's.
